Somewhere along the way the phone stopped being a phone. It became a feed, a shop, an inbox and a slot machine that happens to make calls.

We started NeoPhone in 2025 to build the opposite: a phone that does what you ask and then leaves you alone.

Retro on the outside.

We kept the shape people remember: a curve, a slider, real keys. The slider earns its place as a switch. Open, the agent is listening. Closed, he is not.

An agent instead of apps.

Most of what people open apps for is a question. When does the pharmacy close. What did the group decide. How do I get there. Mr. Smith answers those out loud, so the screen can stay small.

Small team, two studios.

48 people in Lisbon and Shenzhen. The hardware is engineered in Shenzhen; Neo OS and Mr. Smith are built in Lisbon. 61,000 people joined the waitlist before we showed a single photo.

The prototype that convinced us had a 2,000 mAh cell, a cardboard slider and an agent that only knew how to set timers.
